Kenneth L. Harvey, Esq., obtained his formal education in Northern
California, having received his undergraduate degree from
UC Davis and his law degree from the University of Santa
Clara. He was admitted to the practice of law in
California in 1973, and his first job was in Manhattan
Beach. He has been practicing in the South Bay ever
since. His early years as a lawyer involved a general
practice of the law, encompassing family law, criminal
law, contracts, personal injury, and landlord/tenant
matters. This general practice has given Mr. Harvey the
experience to handle most issues that are involved in a
family law case.
In 1982, Mr. Harvey became a tenant of Bob Jonas, a well-known
and respected family law attorney in the South Bay.
They eventually became partners in 1997 and continued in
that partnership until Mr. Jonas retired from the law in
2012. Since 1997, Mr. Harvey has practiced exclusively in
the area of family law. He has handled well over a 1000
family law matters from the initial interview of a client
up to and including handling matters before the Court of
Appeals of the State of California. He has experience in
such family law matters as child custody/visitation,
child and spousal support, property division, premarital
agreements, postnuptial agreements and restraining
orders. He continues to provide family law services to
the South Bay as he has done since 1973.
